Interview with Alison's Dad

My Dad was in the Navy since 1959. I gave him a paper with questions to fill out. He wrote the answers on December 6, 2005, and I returned it to school.

Interview Questions and Answers

1. Were you in the service? If so, what branch, when, and where were you stationed.

Answer: Yes - the United States Navy.
From 1959 to 1964 - Naval Air Test Facility, Lakehurst, NJ
From 1964 to 1968 - VC1, Naval Air Station, Barbers Point, Hawaii
From 1968 to 1969 - USS Constellation, Vietnam Cruise

2. What does the United States Flag mean to you?

Answer: Freedom and Pride.

3. How do you feel when you see the flag?

Answer: I feel good - it's my flag.

4. Do you fly a flag at home?

Answer: Sometimes - 4th of July for instance.

5. Do you have a photo of yourself that we could borrow to scan and use in our project web site? We will return your photo soon.

Answer: Yes - 2 photos.
