Local Views - Photos

We see flags in front of businesses, the Post Office, the Police Department and Municipal Building, the Fire Department, schools, and homes. We used some local photos on different pages within this web site. Here are others we took in our school and community:

our school's flag

I feel happy and I would write about it. I like the American flag. It has my favorite colors and I really like the stars.

The flag symbolizes freedom among both black and white people. This flag gives me the right to be friends with anybody, no matter what color they are. (by Kyle)

This is the flag outside our local Fire Department.

This is the flag flying outside our main school building. Students in one of our classrooms take turns, with staff help, putting it up every day.

local flag eagle and flag statue

This is a statue of an American Bald Eagle with the flag. The statue was on Pat Senft's desk (he is a part-time Physical Education teacher at our school and our Special Olympics Coordinator). Pat Senft was in the US Marine Corps. We also interviewed him for this project (click here to see that page).
