On February 4, 2004, we took a lunch trip to a place called the Yellow Submarine. They are known for their Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, as well as other sandwiches.

We ate a great lunch and asked questions we had prepared. Here's what we found out:

How did you get the name "Yellow Submarine" for your company?
Someone else had the business, and we kept the original name after they sold it.

When did the Yellow Submarine cheesesteaks start?
1983.

Who is the owner and who is the manager?
Tim Higgins and Mike Kelly.

Did you always have cheesesteaks on your menu?
Yes.

What kind of toppings do you like on cheesesteaks?
Fried onions and mushrooms.

Do a lot of people order cheesesteaks from your place?
Yes.

How many pounds of steak do you use to make cheesesteaks and cheesesteak hoagies?
600 pounds a week.

Where did you get the rolls to make cheesesteaks and cheesesteak hoagies?
Deluca Bakery.

What kind of cheese do you use for an authentic cheesesteak?
American cheese.

How many workers do you have?
11.

Do you have a web site address?
No.
